If you are tired of your corporate job and your exasperating boss and are looking to take that very much needed break, there are plenty of astounding weekend getaways near Delhi, which offer daredevil activities to pump up your adrenaline and also a peaceful getaway to rejuvenate your body and soul, making you ready for the upcoming meeting that you’ve been dreading for so long.

1. Mathura

The picturesque city of Mathura is famous for being the birthplace of Lord Krishna. This city was once a commercial hub despite its appearance and condition today. The city is situated beside Yamuna River and is called “Brajbhoomi” with love. The best time to visit this city is around “Holi” as around this time the city is filled with colors and joy and is a sight to behold. One of the religious, cultural and peaceful weekend getaways near Delhi, Mathura still holds the power to capture you with the stories of Lord Krishna and his life.
